General Description:
The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
- Provides exceptional greetings either by phone or face-to-face for all visitors, demonstrating hospitality and superior administrative support service, ensuring exceptional customer care to all.
- Answers and direct phone calls, emails, and other communications within the pharmacy department.
- Assists in the monitoring of scheduled appointments, unannounced visitors, and incoming/outgoing phone calls for Director of Pharmacy.
- Receives incoming telephone and personal callers and screens those in the secretary’s judgment may be transferred; personally, takes care of many matters and questions including answering substantive questions not requiring detailed research or technical knowledge.
- Demonstrates effective professional, interpersonal and communications skills.
- Responsible for typing and processing memorandums and documents. and assists in preparing reports, presentations and correspondence as needed.
- Reserves conference rooms as required.
- Maintain and organize departmental records, invoices, reports, and files.
- Take minutes during department meetings and committee meetings as required.
- Completes and routes internal forms, requisitions and invoices after signature by Director of Pharmacy.
- Assists others in using clerical equipment as well as technical equipment for presentations. Ensures all clerical equipment such as fax, printer, and copiers are properly maintained.
- Attends monthly staff meetings and huddles to stay aware of policies and operational procedures.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies; re-stocking as necessary.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area.
- Serves as primary courier for the pharmacy department to deliver medications to off site locations.
Formal Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2 years > 3 years
- Valid State of Florida Drivers License (FDL) and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that is acceptable to PMC’s corporate automobile insurance carrier is strongly preferred — license will be screened prior to employment and annually thereafter (if applicable).
